Longer ago than I care to admit, I was a regular user of a chat system (not
IRC .. this was pre-Internet as we know it today) .. individual systems
could host a number of users and they could link together in a chain to
allow those users to talk to other systems... occasionally, someone at the
far end of the chain would accidentally connect to someone already in the
chain and a loop would be created... and there were always those who
immediately would start typing "LOOP" ... and well, those messages, normal
traffic, and all the repeats would be looped around and around until someone
finally fixed it.... so, forgive me a little nostalgia...
LOOP!
