Hi,
i have a big problem ! and it's very urgent for me.
i'm developing an application that involves n bit colors, it works on every
Palm, OS and emulator...
But - i notice that the colors are different in some devices.
i'm putting a 2 bit color image in the devices (Palm IIIc, V, Vx, IIIe,
IIIx) and i notice that the 4 colors (2 bit) are not the same.
there should be white (255), light gray (170), dark gray (85), black (0).
But the light gray is almost white and hardly seen on the IIIe,IIIx. it's a
little more darker (but still very bright) on the V, Vx. and it's perfect on
the IIIc.
And the dark gray is the opposite : almost black and hardly seen on the
IIIe,IIIx. it's a little more brighter (but still very dark) on the V, Vx.
and it's perfect on the IIIc.
i know there is a difference in the screens - (according to Palm)
the Palm IIIx, IIIe has FSTN, pitch 0.35 mm, single line addressing, 80%
reflective, with TDF film
the Palm V, Vx has FSTN display, pitch 0.34 mm, multi-line (4) addressing,
80% reflective mode
and the Palm IIIc has TFT with 12 bit color viewing window, active
addressing, transmissive
Can i do anything so that the grays in IIIx,IIIe,V,Vx will look as much as
IIIc ???
