Your application could support a Beam Preferences command that reads out the
app's preferences, converts them into an appropriate "line" format for
interchange, assigns an appropriate unique MIME type, extension, and/or
creator ID, and beams it to another Palm running the same app. When you
receive the incoming beam, you'd convert the "line" format back into a raw
preference record (or records) and save them.
I'm not sure why you'd want to do this, but it should work. Preferences are
generally personal. When someone beams me an app, the preferences are set to
default values. I then set them as I choose.
