MW had been very quiet recently and it is time for their yearly update. It
is my wild guess (or whish?) that they are either hard working on a version
of the next CW for PalmOS4 or too busy to spend any time on development
whatsoever.

TO help your current problem, 3 things generally work:
1) Close CW and the emulator and run them again; this works almost always
2) If you are on W2K, a shorter solution would be to select the "Palm" menu
in CW and launch the Debug Console, then tap ENTER a few times there. The
latest patch from MW fixes this bug, but introduces another one, which (to
me) is more inconvenient, so I prefer this one.
3) Often you have to switch to POSE and tap a button on it

A combination of these 3 (usually 2 & 3) works pretty well for me.

But, as you said, CW is getting quite boring and I am recently exploring the
falch.net dev studio. In terms of IDE GUI they are light years ahead.

Subject: Tired of CW bugs - "Failed to connect to remote"!!

I have seen several postings in this newsgroup
regarding the same error message when we
try to debug a program ("Failed to connect to remote")
MW had blindly categorized it as a Win2K issue
& providing a fix which breaks more than it fixes.
I have seen many suggestions too - everything from
'reboot every 2 seconds' to 'formatting & reinstalling windows'
Is there a less deadly solution? Is metrowerks ever going
to release a patch???
