sounds like you got an upgrade memory board.. why dont you reflash the
new os to your device? the roms do exist, just use a reflashing tool
(hint: Palm gave one out for 3.3 a while back)

i dont think poking around in screen memory is a begineer thing. :))
many of us have written the routines ourselves, and heck.. just do a
search for "win2" graphics library on www.palmgear.com ... there is a
library (with sources from memory) that does this too..
however, be prepared to fix it on your own. :) Palm prefers that you
use the APIs when you develop software - primarially for compatibility.
there are many games that dont work on IIIc or similar devices due
to this fact, and the developers have abandoned the applications :(
