I believe MS switched to their own servers quite some time ago. It was
reported in the press at the time. And the lesson we might learn from this
is that a lot of the negative stuff you hear about MS is unfounded. Because
MS used to house their web site on Sun servers, you got the idea that NT is
incapable of handling the load. The truth is, NT is handling the load at
one of the busiest web sites in the world. So maybe it's not all that bad.
I don't want to get started with arguing about the various strengths and
weaknesses in NT, Solaris, Linux, etc. There's really no point in that
unless it directly affects our development of Palm applications. The only
reason I mention this at all is that, because MS OS's are currently the most
popular in the world, most of our (us Palm developers') clients are using a
Microsoft OS. So it might be better to think of the many ways we can sell
Palm software and services to those people, rather than to always think of
them as "the enemy".
