Ive seen something about this before, have a look in the archives.
Its something to do with the fact that the four character string can be
accessed as a UInt32, as all it is 4 bytes of data. I think if you have a
UInt32 pointer to the start of a four byte string you will have the correct
id. I may be wrong, but I know it is something like this.
