You should probably be aware that it isn't safe to call. It assumes that the
write protection to the storage heap has already been turned off (which it
happens to be when another part of the Data Manager calls it). Thus (at
least on pre-3.0 and prior OS'es), the system will crash. It may have been
fixed in a later version of the OS.
