I just got CW6 and installed the sdk+update.
I've been playing around with this for about
the last 4 days. A few problems have come up.
1st: PalmOS 3.5. The new headers threw me on
the first compile. No documentation on the new
headers and very little to be found about 3.5
at all.
2nd: I purchased the 3 palm programming books.
PalmOS 3.5 makes them out of date to a certain
extent. Furthermore, at best they are average
for programming books.
3rd: Lack of any really decent documentation.
The Palm OS Companion is out of date, and the
Reference is extremely terse and context-free
with its information.
4th: The information websites are seriously
out of date.
So here I am trying merely to show color on
a palm IIIc emulation, and I can't find any
info on how to do it.
My bitmaps in constructor are in color. CW
seems to compile fine. I load the .prc into
the emulator and get a 1-bit mono display
from a IIIc emulation.
WinScreenMode doesn't seem to do anything.
I don't have enough info to figure out how
WinPalette works (or even exactly what it
does).
Could someone take the time to explain how
to get a stupid little color bitmap to display
in color?
Todd.
