I just received mail from a user with a IIIxe and using a Macintosh
to load files.
He can load the program just fine, but the install program won't
accept the .pdb file I provided. His words:
When I drag the Spellit-SG.pdb file to the HoySYnc installer,
it will not drop in. As a result, I can't even try to HotSync
it into the Palm.
I have no idea what might cause this. He seems to think it's because
his Palm has a 12 digit serial number -- I don't see how that's
possible. The program we're talking is freeware, and doesn't care in
the least about the serial number. But I guess maybe something in
the way the PDB was created is a problem?
I tried the program out on a M100 ROM file in the emulator, and it
worked just fine.. well at least the install did.
Any ideas what could be going on here?
Sean.
