This was explained on the emulator-forum last month.  The issues is that
POSE lets code in ROM do things that code in RAM shouldn't.  This includes
PalmOS global referencing.  While the 3.5.2 patch is safe, its in RAM when
installed into a POSE session, and POSE doesn't know it should be treated
special.
