These IDE switches were not implemented until IDE 3.3. This is why they
don't work with your version of CodeWarrior for Palm (and I don't think
there was a version of the Palm tools that released with IDE 3.1, so I'm not
sure what you're using -- maybe the desktop tools?). There is no way (that
I'm aware of) to automate that version of the IDE.
