Hi-- I am trying to use MenuAddItem. I have one menu item has ID number 1000 but I keep getting ErrMenuNotFound error when I pass 1000 as positionId parameter. also How can I add menu item if there were no menu item first place? passing NULL didn't work, same error message, and 0 probably doesn't work either since it's same as NULL. anyone out there ever used MenuAddItem or any kinds of Dynamic Menu apis? sincerely -----Original Message----- From: Lyris List Manager [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, December 01, 2000 2:34 PM To: Lee, Eric Subject: Welcome to the palm-dev-forum... Hello, and welcome to the palm-dev-forum. forum - Any public place or medium for open discussion. The purpose of this mailing list is to provide a lasting forum for new and experienced Palm OS(R) platform developers to ask questions, furnish solutions, present ideas, and otherwise exchange information with the intent of enhancing the quality of the developer community. Please be sure to read the Developer Forum's Rules and Conditions at http://www.palmos.com/dev/tech/support/forums/rules.html before using the forums. This list is for you, the developers, to keep in touch with each other and the developer community in general. We hope that the end result will be better software and more knowledgeable developers. Several Palm, Inc. employees also participate in the list, and provide information and tips as appropriate and necessary. MAILING LIST TIPS AND ETIQUETTE 1. When responding to someone's question, please consider whether it is appropriate to respond to the list at large or directly to the individual. Though we may not all speak up, we might be interested in the answer. 2. Include a snippet from the original sender's email when writing a response in order to keep the discussion in context. Quoting only the applicable text will save time and space. 3. Before sending a question out on the list, please search the Knowledge Base to see if the answer is already provided. The Knowledge Base is a fast web-based database of technical information. Search or browse Frequently Asked Questions, sample code, white papers, and most of the development documentation. Find it at http://www.palmos.com/dev/tech/kb/ 3. Write meaningful Subject lines. This is particularly useful when scanning archives of developer forum articles. 4. Avoid sending "me too" or "I agree" messages to the entire list. These should be sent directly to the original sender. 5. Finally, please insure that your mail server allows for list server mail. Many mail services utilize anti-spam features that block list server mailings.
