Very coincidental. We wasted a good half hour earlier today because of this
exact same problem. Constructor wasn't complaining/failing when the resource
files were "read-only". The code compiled because the header files was
updated. It's very possible to get into that situation when you make use of
source code control. We finally saw that the rsc files were set to
read-only, and after changing their settings, all was fine.

Metrowerks/Palm: please add that check (read-only files) to the list of
fixes for future Constructor updates.

I had the same problem - and solved it by clearing the read-only flag on the
*.rsrc files and the *Rsc.h file.  Constructor seems happy to SAY it saved
your changes, but then when you go back to look, it didn't.
