Quick response before I head off to SantaClara ....
You need to reset POSE before installing, then do the install
when you are on the screen after the logo (the one that sets the
date/time).
I usually get this problem after returning to (say) a 3.0 ROM
after spending time with the 3.5 ROM's. I think it is that the
3.5 ROM's are more tolerant of having software installed through
POSE than the earlier ROMS.
