I agree with your comment about learning from others questions... have been
doing that for 12+ years using news groups and alike. Odds are that I am
not the first person to think of this problem or have a particular problem
and if I try to answer other peoples questions, I will already have answer
when I come across the same situation.

You can either learn it directly from getting the PalmOS source code (under
NDA of course), or learn it indirectly from inferring how the PalmOS
functions should work. Once you grok form event handling, a lot of Palm UI
work becomes much, much clearer. Also, a lot of the theory is described in
the Palm OS Companion document, although the specific working of FrmDrawForm
isn't one of the items (it probably should be).
Oh, making an effort to answer questions of the forum for eight months also
can improve your knowledge of PalmOS a lot... I learn lots by doing research
for other people. :)
