I think 30,000 is too low, but 100,000 is fine. The Platinum test
actually ran a series of 10 gremlins to 100,000 events each, for a total
of 1,000,000.
I was unaware of this when we submitted our first app to Platinum, so I
picked 2 or 3 gremlins and ran them each to 1,000,000 events. It turns
out that there was an obscure bug in the app that actually caused about
20% of gremlin runs to fail, usually within the first 10,000 events. I
got lucky on the two I picked, and the bug didn't get tickled. The
Platinum people tickled the bug on the very first gremlin they ran :-(
For re-submission, I did a run of 100 gremlins to 100,000 to make sure
that none of them crashed.
