I had said that I wouldn't get involved in this discussion again, but it has varied so far from the original crack site found post that it might be worth it... bottom line (that someone else posted so well earlier) is that someone who is cracking your software or otherwise illegally copying your software isn't going to buy it anyway, so worrying about it is only going to cause you grief, not them. The same is true for the person who copies a tape they bought for their friends, videotapes a movie from a movie channel and shares it with their cable deprived parent, photocopies pages from a text book and gives them to their students, fill in your favorite here... We seem to be caught up on this concept on if it isn't tangible, it isn't theft... the software is downloadable over the Internet, and copying is easy therefore, there is nothing tangible that is being stolen. Yes, the concept of Intellectual Property is sometimes abused.. but it also protects songwriters, book writers, movie producers, and a whole range of other people who sell services from someone else stealing their idea and profiting from it at the creator's expense. Just because it is easy to reproduce and the reproduction itself does not "cost" the producer anything.. that does not make it not theft.
