Look these functions (file SystemMgr.h, subject "Kernel Prototypes"):
SysTaskCreate(...), SysTaskDelete(...), etc.
Also, look the SysAppLaunch(...) flag: sysAppLaunchFlagNewThread.

NO, your not allowed to use threads. The underlying OS supports them, but
the Palm OS dosent.
