Help: CmdGetRemoteRtnName error: ILLEGAL ADDRESS

CmdGetRemoteRtnName error: ILLEGAL ADDRESS

I get the above error when attempting to execute the following code:

  s = StrCat(s, MemHandleLock(BADGENUMBER));
  MemHandleUnlock(BADGENUMBER);

where s is a CharPtr with contents, and BADGENUMBER is a global Handle.  Any
idea what I'm doing wrong?  Thanks!
