To Push information to the Palm you should look at Novatel Wireless. They
are the
makers of the modem that Omnisky & YadaYada are using.

No I do not want a service on the palm.... and Yes I do want to push
information
to the palm. Can this be done or does the palm have to always get
information?
Thanks

As far as I know you can't send info the the POSE. Once you have the Modem
the only
way to send information to the Palm would be via email. However, the modem
does have
an IP address but no port number. You just can't have a server running on
the Palm.
I think what your talking about is Push to the Palm?

Subject: Doing wireless work with POSE
I got a sample that I can do some TCP/IP stuff with POSE (Thanks Carl
Lippitt for that source!). But I do have another question. If have an NT
Service that wants to send information to a palm, don't I need a IP for
that? I know once sign up for Onmisky, I will get one but can I do this with
POSE. Where do I set this up. I can send information to the palm right?
Wireless just doesn't mean the palm browses for info.
Thanks
