The problems you are describing may or may not have anything to do
with an AppInfo block. Since you haven't created one, they almost
certainly don't. Unless you post code, it's almost impossible to
provide you with any good, useful advice based on general
descriptions.
For the errors you describe, use the symbolic debugger to identify
exactly what function gives you the error message, and then pay
attention to what the error message is telling you.
