As far as I'm aware Outlook (at least on a Mac) doesn't support news, which
is why I use Outlook Express for that. If the Sony group requires a
password, that implies subscribing, but I've never seen such a requirement
mentioned. The Palm news server requires a passport, which I have set
correctly.
I was able successfully to post a question to the sony-forum, but since I
can't read the newsgroup, I won't be able to see replies.
