Thanks for that (long!) response. I develop on Linux so don't know that
debuffer will work for me, and I don't have time right now to spend porting it
although that sounds like a fun project in itself.

It seems that if there were a problem in my code (which is certainly possible)
that I would see the behaviour on all systems running pose. My experience
tells my to look for what is different between the two platforms to find a
cause.
                                
I think for now I will just stick to developing on the one machine, for at
least testing anyway.
