Thanks
When I dial my companies PPP connection I can connect to sites like Yahoo
and MSN ... And the images come up just fine. When I am trying to access
an internal web page, I get the forbidden error. Do not know if the images
on our web pages are causing this, maybe but if I can get Yahoos images when
connected to our PPP connection, then why not ours?
If you have any other thoughts that would be great... or other browsers you
have tried please advise.
Oh well, thanks again
Dean-O

Dean,
Im not sure how this version of Palmscape works, but some browsers that
show images, use a proxy to access the pages and translate the images to a
format that palm can support, maybe your firewall is blocking for this
reason.

Hi
Thanks for the link. I downloaded it and it works great for internet
surfing. I then dialed up my employers PPP connection and I got connected
fine. Whenever I try to access an internal web server using the webserver
name or IP address, I keep getting forbidden firewall errors. This did not
happen when I used the other version of PalmScape. I was able to get to any
internal site, but no images.
Any ideas? I emailed the people at PalmScape, but I thought I would pick
your brain too, to see if you have seen the same thing.
Thanks in advance
Dean-O

Is it PalmScape 30b3E? The older version does not show the images.

Hi Dean,
This is probally a limitation of the browser that you are using, try some
others like
ProxiNet at http://www.proxynet.com or
Palmscape at http://www.ilinx.co.jp/en/ <- Very good if you have a coloured
device

I am testing using my Palm III to browse web pages. Things seem to be
working fine, except I can not see images. I wrote a couple of my own web
pages which each contained an image. I tried bmp jpg and gif but all I get
on the palm device is in square brackets the name of the image instead of
the actual image.
Can this be done?
Thanks in advance
Dean-O
