Hmmm... I use the Handspring Platinum version of Palm Desktop, version 3.1.
It does not support importing .VCS files; only .DBA (date book archive).
Palm's web site (http://www.palm.com/support/downloads/palmdt_4.html) says
that the Palm version of Palm Desktop doesn't support non-Palm branded
devices. So using the latest Palm Desktop v4.0 isn't an option.
I do have MS Outlook 2000 and PocketMirror Pro, so I can always import a
.vcs file into Outlook and let the system HotSync the appointment into the
Handspring. But I'm looking to support users who don't have Outlook +
PocketMirror. The goal is that if someone agrees to a meeting or event, etc.
I'd like to provide them an easy way to load a reminder into their PDA --
regardless of what version of Palm Desktop they use or whether they do or
don't use a computer-based calendar management program.
Thanks,
