  correct me if i am wrong.. but *way* back when i was briefed about
  palmos 4.0 - i was told that running an application from the card
  never really happens?

  the idea was that the application would be copied to local RAM and
  then executed. you could set bits in the databases to determine if
  they got copied too, or use the VFS API's to get access to them

  has something changed in the mean time? :)

  the idea of 'autocf' just wasn't in mind with the 4.0 secondary
  storage model.. however, you could do the same thing right now
  with a person using CF and autocf on a TRGPro :)

  why is the question specific to 4.0?
