The Visor Prism uses OS 3.5h not 3.1h (3.1 doesn't support color) Try
testing with a debug 3.5 ROM. I don't know exactly what changes Handspring
made with 3.5h other than 16bit color support and a couple extra built-in
apps.

Subject: Problems with Visor Prisms and hacks ??

Hi,

My name is Robert Gasparotto - I wrote PointerHack - a HackMaster Hack that
gives a Palm keyboard user a type of mouse pointer which can be operated
from a keyboard and can be used to click/tap on the area under the pointer.
It works by intercepting keyboard events and moves the pointer via
drawing/undrawing a triangle (the pointer) using WinInvertLine(). It
submits pen events via EvtEnqueuePenEvent (a system function). I recently
added a configuration option which allows a person to configure the launcher
key. It seems that most people are fine - whether they run TRGPro's or
Palms or even Handpsring Visors. There is however the latest copuple of
people who have Visors (one has a Prism running OS 3.1h3) whose devices
crash when the "+" on HackMaster is clicked (I tried a stand-alone app tro
configure - same error). All I have on the configure screen is some stuff I
draw with WinInvertChar() and a launcher key field (this is new for this
version) which I retrieve info for via FtrGet() and populate.

Do you have any ideas why a Visor running 3.1 would have problems with
something like this ? BTW - it may be because it is a Visor Prism...

I have recently tested on a Palm IIIe device running OS 3.1 and it seems to
be fine.

I am getting pretty desparate :O

If any of you want to see or download the app - it is at following URL:

Thanks,
Robert.
