JungleSoft has an API to allow PQAs and PRCs to plot points on a map. This enables you to easily add mapping capabilities to your PQA or PRC application. The API makes calls to our mapping engine so you won't have to write any code for panning, zooming, searching, etc. All you need to know is where the point should be placed. If you are unfamiliar with JungleSoft Maps, visit our application site http://www.JunglePort.com We developed the Rand McNally StreetFinder for PalmOS application. Our latest mapping features are available in our own application, JunglePort. Maps for the entire US are available free of charge from our web site as well. Our basic API is available free of charge. Send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] for more information. An example scenario is you have a PQA like the Starbucks finder on the Palm. In the PQA, the user searches for the closest locations. Once the locations are found, there is a button that says something like "Plot these locations on a map" which uses the API calls to plot the points on the map. After the user is done panning, zooming, etc, they go back to the PQA and continue... If anyone is interested in using our API, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] for more information. We welcome comments and suggestions as well. Regards, -giang lam -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/tech/support/forums/
