  yes.. true - however it was not a virus as they marked it out to
  be.. any application could do it.. how many released apps give
  a hard-reset scenario? should "format.exe" be marked as a virus
  or trojan horse?

  anyone with some knowledge about PalmOS could do something very
  creative - maybe thats one reason why trap patching wont be so 
  easy in future releases of PalmOS? (ie: ARM)? it would make
  sense to me if this was done, however, it also prevents a lot
  of valid patches to be made to the operating system

  and.. not to mention put it through a solid beta test phase where
  any serious data loss can be prevented. this is a much more serious
  issue, that i think some ESD's should stamp down on.

  in the mean time, lets continue :)
