BMW was brought up when they first came out with the III, V & VII lines
of products.
The M5xx nomenclature just seems to be assuming that they're ditching
the roman numeral model lines with the introduction of the M100 and
everything
coming out in the future will use that model for naming.
Hey ... maybe they didn't ditch the roman numerals after all ... isn't
M=1000?
So, we could still have the C-something, X-something and L-something
palms coming out ...
