I have a client that uses both the Visor Deluxe (3.1) and the Platinum
(3.5). The
client wants an app to create and beam signatures (bitmaps) between all of
their Handspring devices.
I've played with the beamer app that comes with the 3.5 SDK. Removed the
color table and set the depth to 1 in the code where the bitmaps are
created. The bitmaps
will actually beam and display from 3.1 -> 3.5 and visa-versa. But the
bitmaps
always come out jagged with extra areas of pixels painted in.
The only difference that I can see are the bitmap versions, 1 for 3.1 and 2
for 3.5.
I've found out from Handspring that you can't upgrade the ROM on the Visor
Deluxe
to 3.5 so I'm stuck with both ROM versions.
Is there a method to convert bitmaps or anything else I can do?
