don't know if i really understand what you want to do. but every data are stored in
databases (.pdb) even the programs themselves are not more than resource databases
(.prc).
you can access any database you can find on your palm (see RsrcEdit a must have for
developers :).
if you want to read / modify data from another app, you must know the db-structure of
the records. you can find some info about the build-in apps at:
