Emulator roms

I have an application that seems to run fine under some
emulator roms but won't display the first screen under others.

Palm OS 3.0 en - OK
Palm OS 3.1 IIIx - Failed
Palm OS 3.1 V - Failed
Palm OS 3.3-en-iii - OK
Palm OS 3.3-en-V - Failed
Palm OS 3.5-ez - OK
Palm OS 3.5-nonez - OK

Is there some pattern here?
