John, i dont mean to bite you here - but you gotta drop that attitude
about "hey, dont bother me with email" sometimes. you recently did
the same thing with the -palmos4 stuff.
you dont think i get bozo emails too? i bite my teeth, answer them
and point them in the right direction - not say "only email me if you
know what you are doing".
prc-tools is a development environment, and, believe it or not, its
a more viable solution for newbies as it is *free* - and people will
want to try programming on the Palm before they invest money in
CodeWarrior for example. i try and limit the bozo questions by
providing howto pages and sample code on my website..
sometimes i even get the "thanks man, your pages helped" emails.
with that said, prc-tools probably gets more bozo questions. since
you maintain it, your on the receiving end. remember, you are not
maintaining the tool chain for yourself, people will ask questions
and want support - its your duty as maintainer to assist them or at
least point them in the right direction.
by the way, prc-tools 0.5.0 is still prc-tools.
put on that "i work for McDonalds and i am happy smile" or just
put the email aside if you are too busy - and yes, i have noticed
the drop in emails on the prc-tools development mailing list..
