Take a look at http://oasis.palm.com/dev/kb/papers/1670.cfm Quite complete. I found amny limitation on writing shared libraries. I don't think that you can get rid of "assembly tricks" I wasn't able to write a shared library in C++. If you find any solution, please drop me a mail.
