Ok, so I got my software working on a Visor. It turned out to be that the
serial cradle needs power from the computer side. (Thanks to Brian Hall for
the help)

I found something interesting and can't explain it. My software gets data
over the serial port at a pretty slow rate and logs it (stores a seconds
worth of data in ram, writes it to a database record, the starts again).
When its run on my Vx, I get about 50 'samples' per second. When its run on
the Visor, I get about 70-71! Now the Visor (baseline model) is running the
same processor and is running 4 mHz SLOWER than my Vx. So anyone know why
its so much faster? I know the serial drivers are a little different. Are
they that much better in the Visor? I know writing to the database really
slowed down my program. Is it possible that the DmWrite routines are
faster?

Thanks,
Mike
