You have to test to make sure a feature is available before you use it.
Every PalmOS functions that isn't available in all versions says so in the
documentation. (E.g., "Implemented only if the 3.5 New Feature Set is
present.") See the Compatibility Guide section of the Palm OS SDK Reference
to learn about this.
