Magnetic card reader for Palm?

Can someone point me in the right direction?

I am looking for information about magnetic card readers for the Palm.  Is
there a third party out there who has already done most of the dirty work or
am I looking at something that has to be designed from scratch?
Any help would be most appreciated.
