Hi All, Hopefully someone might be able to explain... I have noticed that Palm devices running V3.5.0 appear to send a single character (Hex 0xFF [Ascii Del w/ Even Parity?]) out through the serial port when the power button is pressed. A search of the knowledge base refers to previous issues (Pre V3) where characters such as Del or Backspace were sent when the serial port was opened or closed. The knowledge base says this behaviour was removed at V3. Investigations show that a Palm III running V3.0.2 does not exhibit this problem. This machine is, of course, running the old Serial Manager code, while the 3.5.0 machines are running the new Serial Manager. Has anyone else noticed this behaviour and I guess more importantly managed to find a way around it? My problem is that unwanted characters sent out over the serial port can confuse various bespoke devices listening to the port...
