CW6 does not like to do things by halves

I have a popup list on a form. The values are static, so I would like to
include them in the resource. But one of them contains a half character (½).
CW6 does not like this and gives the following message at link time:

Possibly invalid character 0xf0 (-­) is present in resource TSLt ID=<id of
my list>

Any suggestions?
