a memErrNotEnoughSpace question

I studied the released source codes very much but I couldn't figure it out
how a DmQueryRecord () can generate a memErrNotEnoughSpace error [checked via
DmGetLastErr ()].

Maybe the Palm guys who have access to the full source code code explain it?
