This time our server wasn't at fault at all; there had been DNS changes and
mail server changes done by the 3Com IS folks. Our mailing list server is
still in the 3Com server room, and thus we're affected in ways that we have
no idea about, until we notice that something is wrong. Sigh.
FYI it was handling news readers just fine; it was simply the outgoing mail
that was throttled to a trickle.
In any case, a change was made about an hour ago that made the delivery
speed jump up quite a bit. Should be enough to keep our heads above water.
And we're anxiously awaiting the day that a more permanent solution to this
issue is implemented...
