Eric,
If you're using CW 7, I'm having the exact same problem. Sometimes it
works, sometimes it doesn't and sometimes when it does, it's really
slow. I've found, however, that the number of other apps open makes a
difference(don't ask me why, it may just be coincidental). I closed
some of the other things I had running and it seems to download better -
or at least download successfully more often.

Subject: Large/Multi-segment app problems
Here's my situation:
I have a large ( 360k ) app that I have been working on for quite some
time
without problems. However, within the last day I can no longer debug
the
application on the palm.
Every time I attempt to debug the app I get the following error:
"Failed to upload application to Pilot device. Reset the device, delete
the
application, and try again to open the application on the host."
I've done this and it doesn't help.
A few other things that I've tried...HotSync is not running, I deleted
the
contents of the DebugCache and AutoSave directories.
Now, I've read that this can be a segmenting problem. None of my
segments
are near 64k. They are the following sizes: 36k, 42k, 20k, 9k, 37k,
18k,
31k, 38k, 27k, 31k, 16k, 29k, 3k, 16k ( in that order ).
I've shuffled things and it hasn't helped at all.
If I go back to a saved copy of my work from a few days ago ( that
complies
to 348k ) there are no problems.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Eric
