FrmShow/Hide funky? Bad approach?

I need to hide or show about 10 objects depending on which pushbutton is
pressed on a form.  The Hide show functions seem to not work very well in OS
3.2.  Should I turn off the usable flag, or use the afroementioned
functions, or swap forms?  Any suggestions would be great.
