Does this have anything to do with why the knowledge base is down? (I posted an
earlier message about this, and I suspect it's stuck somewhere in the mail queue from
the lag over the past couple of days.)

Maybe it wasn't there when you looked, but now there's a big notice at the
top of the page that says:
Creator ID Database Currently Down
Due to a recent hardware failure, the Creator ID Database is not currently
functioning. Repairs are underway, however there is no estimated time for
completion of these repairs. Please check this page periodically for
updates. We apologize for any inconvenience.
