You forgot to also expand "RISC" which stands for "Reduced Instruction
Set Computer/Computing", originally the acronym of a UC Berkeley project,
but now really the name for an larger architectural concept, whose
best definition, IMHO, is John Mashey's:

The ARM is actually more of an early RISC architecture than an
advanced one. However, the fact it was designed in the day when
low gate count was important makes it a popular choice for design
situations where low power and size is more important than fancy
compiler optimization techniques.
