controlID not correct under PalmOS 3.5

I have a popup trigger at the very top of a form which triggers correctly
under PalmOS 3.1, but, when attempting to trigger under 3.5, the
event->data.ctlSelect.controlID is a value in the range of 21000, which is
not even close to the value of the trigger.  Other triggers on the form work
fine, just not the one at the very top of the screen.  Please help!
