Palm(TM) m500 Handheld
The lightweight, stylish Palm(TM) m500 handheld, with new
Palm OS(R) v4.0 software, is expandable, customizable and
Internet-capable. Add additional storage, applications,
wireless modems, cameras, and more through its standard Secure
Digital/MultiMediaCard expansion slot and the Palm Universal
Connector. Read e-mail, documents(1), and eBooks; view
spreadsheets(1), video clips(2), and photos(2); or browse Web
content with the improved, high-contrast display. The new
native USB cradle offers faster HotSync(R) operations. Plus,
Palm Mobile Connectivity Software lets you send and receive
e-mail and short messages (SMS) or browse the Web with a
compatible modem or data-enabled mobile phone.
The Palm m500 series handhelds are the first products to ship
with Palm OS v4.0 software. Efforts are made to ensure that
existing Palm OS(R) applications will maintain compatibility.

(2) Software functionality provided by PhoteSuite(R) Mobile
Edition, a product of MGI.
The Palm m500 handheld includes:

* Display - 160 x 160 pixel (.34 mm x .34 mm dot pitch)
* Shape - next generation Palm V design
* Dual Expansion Architecture
- Secure Digital/MultiMediaCard expansion slot
- Palm Universal Connector (combined USB
and Serial)
* Alarms - LED indicator
- Vibration built-in
* Battery - Rechargeable lithium-ion/polymer
* Cradle - New, native USB cradle (Serial HotSync cradle
available, sold separately)
* Palm OS software v4.0
* Palm Desktop software version v4.0.1 on PC
* Palm Desktop software v2.6 on MAC

* Enhanced security features of Palm OS v4.0
* Supports Palm's dual expansion technology. For more
