The frameless, textless button on top of a bitmap method works if
graphic buttons are not available.

If your app is going to run on Palm OS 3.5 or higher, you can use a
graphic
button. Otherwise, you can use a gadget to simulate a button. And, I
think
some people (Ben Combee?) put a frameless, textless button on top of a
bitmap, but I've never used that technique.
